    Survivor

    Sylvia Rozines and her family were among the estimated 270,000 people forced into Poland’s Lodz ghetto beginning in 1939. By the time the ghetto was liberated in 1945, roughly 800 survivors remained. Of those, 12 were children. Rozines was one of them.
